Ecology

With responsibility to the environment in Bulgaria and care for its preservation, Vivplast Ltd. continues its "green" policy with the introduction of bags degral material with accelerated decomposition in nature. The bags are made with technology that allows their rapid degradation for up to 24 months. They can not be stored on more than one year, and the difference in the cost between the standard plastic bags and the degral is one penny.

the Eco bags decompose naturally under the influence of heat, sunlight, oxygen and mechanical effects. This happens over a period of 12 to 24 months - over 100 times faster than polyethylene bags. No toxic substances are released during the degradation, and carbon dioxide is released very slowly.

The degral technology is completely safe for human health. It can also be used for packages which are in contact with food. Meets European standards for safety and ecotoxicity.

Bags made from degral material should not be stored outdoors and on temperatures over 30 degrees. Proper storage allows preservation of its mechanical properties (strength and endurance) for a period of 18 months. Then the process of disintegration of the polyethylene molecules begins.

This is due to technology that are created with. During the production of polyethylene film prodegral additive is added. It acts as a catalyst for the decomposition of polyethylene exposed to oxygen, ultraviolet radiation, thermal and mechanical fluctuations.

Decomposition occurs in two stages: first the polymer chains tear into small pieces and then garnetted chains are subject to attack by fungi and bacteria that break down the residues, releasing carbon dioxide and water.

Before the degradation of the packages they retain their mechanical properties and the ability to be recycled.
